With this in mind, when it comes to virtual tours of Israel, it needs to be about more than merely that which you can see. The ideal experience will include live interaction along with all manner of content that helps you immerse yourself in the experience.
The Zoom Platform
That is why we are structuring our virtual tours to be conducted on the Zoom platform, and they will be lead by native speakers and instructors of the Hebrew language.
Within the zoom meeting, please note that facilitators will not necessarily be native speakers, but our virtual tours will be scheduled based upon the availability of Hebrew language instructors who will provide something very important.
That is, the live interaction.
Live Interaction
This live interaction will no doubt be one of the highlights of your virtual tour experience, and it is certainly facilitated on platforms like that which is provided by Zoom. So if you want to prepare in advance for our virtual tours, it is a good idea to install Zoom software on your computer beforehand.
The Zoom platform includes a share screen feature in which your virtual tour guide can share with you what they are seeing on their screen. In this manner, they can speak with you about that which you are seeing during the tour.
Direct Links
In addition to the share screen feature that your virtual tour guide may utilize, direct links will also be provided right here at this website in case there are any bandwidth challenges or buffering.
In this manner, you can still experience the live interaction, but you will not be limited to the bandwidth of the meeting. In such cases, you can listen to your virtual tour guide in one browser tab while experiencing a direct connection to the virtual tour in a separate tab.

Hebrew Language Instructors
You should remember that the Hebrew language instructor who will be leading the tour will also be someone who offers Hebrew language instruction online. So not only will you enjoy the benefits of experiencing the live interaction of a qualified leader in the Zoom meeting—you will be making a positive connection with someone who can teach you more Hebrew!

What to do now…
The first step is to join the Hebrew Study Group Facebook group. The official announcement(s) regarding any of our virtual tours of Israel will be announced as group events within the private group. When the official group announcement is posted, it will include the time that the tour guide will be conducting the tour. Simply respond to this announcement to indicate that you will be participating in the Zoom meeting, and you will receive updates as the tour guide posts them to the event.
